DONT SMOKE!!!

Through my mentorship, I have noticed a reoccuring correlation of people that have heart problems usually are smokers as well. If you smoke, try to quit at all costs! Also, try your best to avoid second hand smoke, as that can lead to CHF as well.

Eat heart-healthy foods!

This one is obvious! Even though junk food tastes better than some heart-healthy foods, it will pay off! I promise! Heres a list of some good foods: Salmon, Flaxseed, Almonds, and Broccoli.

Get Regular Exercise!

The goal here is to increase your heart rate to not only give you exercise, but also your heart! Try to get at least 2 and a half hours of moderate exercise each week and your risk will decrease!
