What is CHF(Congestive Heart Failure)?

Contrary to what most people believe, congestive heart failure isn't necessarily mean the heart stopped working. It simply means that the hearts pumping power has weakened to less than normal. What this then causes is the blood in the body to be moved throughout slower, causing the pressure of the heart to increase. Increased pressure leads to the body not recieving the nutrients it needs because the heart is just too tired. The heart once under enough pressure, will start expanding to hold more blood to pump, or it could become stiff and thick. Even though this thickening will help temporarily, throughout time, the heart will weaken resulting in failure to pump sufficiently. It isn't just the heart that is affected by this. The kidneys will then respond by causing the body to retain water and salt. If this fluid begins to pile up in other organs, the body will become congested, creating the term "Congestive Heart Failure."
